Stage IV CKD Patient Able to Avoid Dialysis & Increase GFR from 19 to 44
Jessyca Franco-Chavez, ND, NM
An 80-year-old male patient was diagnosed with Stage IV CKD. His GFR was at 19 and blood pressure at 150/120. He was suffering from high amounts of fatigue, frequent urination, and tingling sensations in his hand. He was on a dozen prescription medications. The doctors were threatening the patient that he was months away from having to be put on dialysis. The patient is from the Philippines which would mean he would not be able to travel back to see his family if he had to receive dialysis treatment.
The patient’s main goal was to avoid dialysis at all costs and to reverse his blood pressure and kidney disease. Another goal was to eventually travel back to Philippines to see his family again. The patient began a protocol from the Wei Kidney Institute to address his kidney condition as well as blood pressure.
The patient utilized the formulas over the course of two years where he was able to cut back and even eliminate some of his prescription medications. Decrease his urination amounts as well as eliminating the tingling sensations. His GFR fluctuates between 31 and 44. His blood pressure stabilized at 130/80 without any prescription medication use. Most importantly, since the patient has been able to avoid dialysis, he has been able to travel back and forth between California and Texas to spend time with his son and daughter and recently returned from a 3-month long trip to the Philippines.*

Increased GFR from 41 to 82 in Two Months on CKD Protocol
Lewis, Christopher DC, TN
A 51-year-old African American female patient presented with stage 3 CKD, prediabetes, and hypertension. She had been experiencing symptoms of low energy, waking up frequently during the night, overall feeling of being unwell, as well suffered from anemia.
One month before her initial visit she had blood work performed which measured her GFR at 41, creatinine at 1.6, and BUN at 28. The practitioner recommended the Wei Kidney Institutes protocol to address the CKD as well address the hypertension.
After starting the protocol, the patient felt symptom improvements in just the first few weeks. She reported that her energy levels had increased, she was sleeping through the night, and finally felt like herself again.
On Jan 9th of 2021, two months after she had started the protocol, the patient had another blood test done which revealed her GFR was now at 82, creatinine at 1.18, and BUN at 13. The patient is very happy with her results and is finishing their third and final month of the protocol.**

Increased GFR from 17 to 29.5 on 3 Month Herbal Kidney Program
Patient of Karen Willfahrt, ND
An 82-year-old CKD patient was concerned about his kidney levels when he reached out to the Wei Kidney Institute to learn more about the natural kidney program. Very excited about the holistic approach, the patient immersed himself in the new holistic lifestyle plan the Wei Kidney Institute practitioner had put together for him and religiously followed the herbal dosing schedule.
After just two days on the product, the patient noticed a tremendous increase in the output of urine he was producing. A good sign that his kidneys were starting the detoxification process. After continual symptomatic improvement for 3 weeks, the patient decided to go in for a full metabolic panel on day 27. His results came back, and he was extremely impressed by the results outlined below.
After experiencing a 47% improvement in GFR after the first 27 days on the kidney program (eGFR 17 to 24); the patient continued to take the herbs daily, and monitor his dietary intake.
After 3 months on the formulas and vast improvement in all areas of kidney filtration, the patient not only feels healthy but finally has a sense of freedom again, because just 90 days ago he was told dialysis would be in his certain future.**

Patient Went from Stage 3 to Stage 2 CKD on All-Natural Kidney Protocol
Dr. Christopher Lewis, DC, TN (September 2020)
A 49-year-old male patient was diagnosed with Stage 3 Kidney disease. He experienced swelling in the legs and erectile dysfunction. The patient didn’t want to take conventional medications since that is what started the issue in the first place. As of 07/30/20 their GFR was 53.
Dr. Christopher Lewis recommended a Kidney Yin, Kidney Yang, and Kidney Heat product along with dietary guidelines. After only 1 month on the program, the patient had increased energy, no swelling, better urination and increased ability to sustain an erection.
Test results as of 09/01/20 show the patient’s GFR at 75, which puts him only in stage 2 CKD. The patient couldn’t be happier and will continue to work on improving and maintaining optimal kidney function through Wei Kidney Institute and Dr. Lewis.*

Reduction of Dialysis in End Stage Kidney Disease Patient
Patient of Kathy Thomas, LAc, FL
In Nov 2020, my kidneys began to fail and no one knows why. Before then, I was a 34-year-old, healthy eating, active, weight lifter. The doctors hoped I’d recover, but my kidneys only worsened (GFR was a 6, creatinine was 8.73) landing me on dialysis in Dec 2020. I was emotionally destroyed.
One day in Feb of 2021, while sitting through dialysis, I was told my creatinine was still climbing, at 10.27 and GFR at 5. My doctor told me to give up hopes of recovery because it wasn’t going to happen. I needed a transplant. I decided to research if there were any at home. That’s when I discovered Wei Kidney Institute. I checked out the website, read some of the testimonials, and then put my phone number down. This is holistic medicine; which people associate to “fake” medicine. If western medicine can’t fix me, how will this work? All the testimonials I read were from people whose kidneys weren’t as bad as mine. Were my kidneys too far gone? I went back and forth about it for 2 hours. By the 3rd hour, I thought, what do I have to lose? Not like it can cause kidney failure when I already have it. Sure, I’ll be out some money, but if I don’t see improvement, I can simply quit. However, if I don’t try it and it would help, I’d miss out.
I filled in my information and not too long after, I was contacted by Colton. He took down some information on my situation, I sent him my labs, and he put together a plan for me with a wonderful acupuncturist named Kathy. I got a month supply of supplements (Xcel, LC Balancer, KS, Breez, and Renogen from Wei Laboratories), very quickly, and started them right away. After a month, my creatinine dropped to 9.22. I figured I’d try another month to see if it was a fluke. Next month’s labs showed more improvement. The best part, I was gaining so much more than just improved labs. I had more energy, strength, and I started to actually feel better.
Here we are now, and entire year into using Wei Laboratories herbal formulas and each month Colton and Kathy review my labs, adjust my supplements where needed, and my numbers keep improving.
By Feb 2022, my creatinine is now down to 3.87, GFR is at 15 (moving me out of stage 5 into stage 4), and my days/week of peritoneal dialysis have been reduced from 7 to 5. My nurses for peritoneal dialysis called me just to tell me they’re rooting for me and they think my kidneys may actually recover. My creatinine is 1.86 away from being taken off dialysis completely. After this experience, I can honestly say I’d trust holistic medicine over modern medicine.
I do have one regret though; not looking for them sooner. I wish I would have done the research back in Nov/Dec of 2020. I probably could have recovered faster/sooner and never been put on dialysis to begin with.*

Increased GFR from 16 to 21 on Wei Kidney Institute Formulas
Patient of Charles Lewis, ND, Arkansas (Oct 2020)
The staff at Wei Kidney Institute and Dr. Charles Lewis,
I would like to address both Dr. Lewis and the people at Wei Kidney Institute.
About 14 months ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 CKD and heading for stage 5. My eGFR was 16, my creatinine was 340 and my BUN was 15.
The specialist at St Michael’s hospital in Toronto advised me there was no cure and I should soon be prepared for dialysis to be followed by a transplant if a donor can be found. All this would likely happen within the next year or so.
(note—I immediately found a donor in my brother)
I started taking the Wei Kidney Institute regime of pills that were recommended by Dr. Lewis around September 2019. For the first three months the numbers improved marginally. By December my eGFR was still 16 and my creatinine was 310. However, I started seeing bigger and better results as time went on. By mid-Jan my eGFR was 18 and my creatinine was 279.
On 29th Sep I completed my annual physical exam and my doctor said my condition is “remarkable”. He used that phrase at least three times during the debriefing on the results of my tests including extensive blood test. My eGFR is now 21, my creatinine is 266, and my BUN is 11.9. These are significant (21% to 31%) improvements in all three categories. I feel great and have the same energy I had 10 years ago.
I have to say the credit for this change has to be the Wei Kidney Institute regime I have been taking for the past year. I wanted you to know these results and share them with other patients who have similar CKD problems that I have. It could save a life and at worst could help someone delay the onset of a stage 5 CKD problem.
A thankful user of your products.*

GFR – 16
Creatinine – 340 (61.9-114.9)
Urea Nitrogen (BUN) – 15

Successful Improvement of Kidney Conditions
Patient of Denise Zamarripa, Austin Texas, Received: December 12, 2019
“Thanks to Wei Kidney Institute, my dad lived a whole year longer than the doctor’s prognosis. His kidneys were shutting down and hospice was recommended. “He will slowly fill up with toxins. It’s pretty painless and will take anywhere from 2 weeks – 2 months.” said his kidney doctor. Dad was 88 and deemed too fragile for dialysis. On my own I discovered Wei Kidney Institute through the internet. After a couple of weeks, dad was able to stand and walk slowly. His kidney numbers began to improve within a month. After 8 months, dad went from going for an infusion once a week to once every two months. After a year, dad died of a heart attack. His kidneys had nothing to do with his demise. Thank you WEI for another year with my dad!”
For reference, the patient was on the formulas to improve Kidney Yang, to improve Kidney Yin, and to remove kidney heat, as well as low dose of the formulas to support Lung Yin, and to remove lung nodules, for the patient also has lung conditions.

COPD, Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease Solution
Bio Wellness Center, Baton Rouge, LA. April 16, 2019
A 67-year-old patient with stage 3 COPD and Chronic Kidney Disease found Wei Kidney Institute when looking for an alternative treatment. The patient used oxygen at night and as needed throughout the day. He suffered from shortness of breath, chest tightness, a productive cough, frequent cold and flu, asthma, wheezing, and chronic fatigue. Blood work detected deficiencies in the patient’s kidneys, liver, and gallbladder. It is also important to note that the patient is Type II diabetic. The patient also had an x-ray in 2011 that revealed considerable cervical damage at C5-C6 with fusion occurring.
The practitioner recommended that the patient use Wei Kidney Institute herbal formals. In conjunction with Wei Kidney Institute herbal formals, the practitioner used BEMER therapy and a nutritional plan. The Wei Kidney Institute herbal products that the patient took were:
1) A phlegm damp formula that clears phlegm damp and resolves spleen leakage. It helps improve the efficiency of the collecting terminals of the lymphatic vessels and enhance lymph recycling from the tissues.
2) A blood heat clearing formula that clears heat in the blood and cools down the blood. It helps reduce high levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and histamine in the blood resulting from an overreaction of the immune system to allergens, infections, and metabolic debris.
3) A liver yin formula that nurtures liver Yin. It helps improve liver health and repair liver damage.
4) A lung heat clearing formula that removes lung heat and reduces inflammation and pro-inflammatory cytokines in the bronchial tubes and air sacs caused by infections or other irritants.
5) A liver wind formula that restores the inner lining of the respiratory tract in order to avoid over reactions to internal and external irritants or stimulants.
6) A blood stasis formula that emoves nodules and stasis. It helps dissolve cell masses due to abnormal cell growth or hardened plaque, scars, or protein deposits in the tissue directly and by activating cell-mediated immune function.
7) A spleen damp formula that helps clear spleen damp. It helps improve lymphatic circulation. It also helps resolve autoimmune conditions.
8) A kidney heat clearing formula that clears damp and heat in the kidneys. It helps clear inflammation and infection of the kidneys.
9) The kidney yin formula that helps enhance microcirculation by improving microcapillary structure. It helps resolve conditions due to poor microcirculation and enhance treatment results when combined with other Wei Kidney Institute formulas.
10) The liver heat clearing formula that removes heat toxins from the liver and clear liver inflammation or infections. The liver yin nurturing formula and the kidney yin formula are also required to nurture the liver.
11) The heart yang formula that helps improve blood flow to the heart muscle and clear inflammation, infection and toxic metabolic wastes accumulated in the heart and pericardium.
12) A Qi enhancing formula that helps enhance the immune system function to fight infections and abnormal cell growth. It also helps improve blood supply to the upper body including the heart, lungs, stomach, shoulder, and head.
13) The lung yin formula that helps repair lung damage and restore lung structure and function by activating tissue-specific biosynthesis of cellular components in the alveoli (air sacs) and bronchioles.
14) The lung nodule formula that removes nodules and stasis in the lungs and thyroid gland. It helps dissolve scarring and fibrotic tissue in the lungs and thyroid gland by accelerating the catabolic processes necessary in dissipating the nodules and scars.
15) The kidney yang formula that helps improve adrenal gland and kidney function, and helps with the kidney’s filtration and balancing of minerals.
*bolded products were used throughout the entirety of the program while non-bolded products were implemented as needed
After 3 months taking Wei Kidney Institute herbal formulas, the patient no longer needed oxygen during the night. The patient also noticed that they had more energy, was able to exercise, and had a decrease in noticeable respiratory symptoms. Below are test results from before the patient started the program and after the program.
Glucose – was 151, now 108
GFR – was 79, now 91
AST – was 20, now 26 (gallbladder function improved)
ALT – was 16, now 23 (liver function improved)

Improvement in Patient with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease
Bing Alabanza MND, Glendale, CA, October 2018
A 62-year-old female presented with stage 4 CKD and was in preparation for peritoneal dialysis per recommendation by her nephrologist. One of her main complaints prior to starting treatment was the fatigue she was experiencing, despite walking 1.5 miles 5x a week. Prior to starting treatment, her GFR was 13, Creatinine – 3.57, BUN – 19, Glucose – 112, and Albumin – 2.9. Other underlying health conditions include diabetes, neuropathy, hypertension, and CHF. Prior to starting treatment, she was taking multiple blood pressure medications and was dosing 3-4 units of insulin a day. The patient’s goal with treatment is to avoid dialysis and regain her energy.
The patient went in to see Dr. Bing Alabanza. Following Dr. Bing’s recommendations, the patient started on Wei Kidney Institute (WKI) core kidney treatment protocol. The treatment protocol incorporates herbal solutions that 1) helps improve the adrenal gland and kidney function as well as kidney’s filtration and balancing of minerals; 2) helps clear inflammation and the infection of the kidneys; and 3) helps improve kidney structure and microcirculation in conjunction with the other herbal solutions. Bing made dietary recommendations as well which included not drinking a full glass of water in one sitting to avoid kidney overload.
After one month on the protocol, her neuropathy pain improved and it no longer felt like she is “walking on pins and needles” and she had regained feeling in her feet. Her blood glucose readings have decreased and she is only dosing 2 units of insulin each day, down from 3-4 times per day. Her urine stream is stronger. The patient noted that her skin is clearer to the point that people have commented she looks different and has more of a “glow”. She has also noticed an improvement in the bags under her eyes.* After 1.5 weeks on the protocol, the patient had her labs drawn again and they were relatively unchanged: GFR was 13, Creatinine -3.67, BUN – 23, Glucose – 112, and Albumin – 3.4. She continued with month 2 of treatment.
In early July, she stopped furosemide and started taking Burdock instead. The patient noticed an increase in her urinary frequency and output, along with decreased lower extremity edema while taking Burdock and Wei Kidney Institute kidney herbal solutions. At this time Dr. Bing decided to add Wei Kidney Institute herbal treatment to 1) enhance kidney structure on a cellular level, and to 2) try to lower her blood pressure. The WKI blood pressure treatment Dr. Bing added helps clear liver wind which is a restriction in blood flow to the bronchi and muscles due to the tightening of the muscles surrounding the blood vessels.
She continued with month 3 of treatment. A week later she was hospitalized with pulmonary edema and given IV diuretics. Her blood pressure and kidneys were stable throughout the hospitalization. Her labs showed a slight decrease in her kidney function: GFR was 12, Creatinine – 3.77, BUN – 19, and Glucose – 104.
After two weeks starting Wei Kidney Institute blood pressure support, her blood pressure finally moved! It was consistently 170 systolic. Over the weekend her blood pressure went from 170 to 163/161 to 159, and eventually 155 systolic. Patient finished her third month of treatment with her blood pressure remaining stable around 160 systolic.* Her labs were drawn on 8/8/18 and showed a one point drop in her GFR and a slight increase in her creatinine and BUN. This was not concerning with the detoxifying process the kidneys experience with the herbal treatment and the fact that her GFR has been stable to this point. She will continue the current kidney treatment protocol in month 4 of treatment with WKI blood pressure support for another 2 weeks to see more improvements in her blood pressure.
At the end of month 4, the patient’s blood pressure was consistently around 144 systolic, 150 systolic at the highest. This was a drastic improvement from her initial average of 170-180 systolic prior to starting Wei Kidney Institute herbal treatment. At the start of treatment, she was dosing 4 units of insulin- now she dosing 0-3 units MAX depending on her diet. The patient decided to stop WKI treatment after 4 months of treatment due to financial reasons. Things went south the minute she stopped WKI treatment. Her lower extremity edema returned, she noticed her fatigue worsening, and her nephrologist recommended she started dialysis with her GFR at 11. Her nephrologist was shocked at the improvement in her blood pressure – 127/80 at her follow up visit. Her blood glucose that morning was 87 as well.* Not long after patient muscle tested herself and decided to go back on Wei Kidney Institute core kidney treatment at low dose in efforts to reduce the swelling and increase her energy levels again. After a week patient reported the half dose was helpful but not as beneficial as a full dose. Two weeks later on a half dose of WKI herbal treatment, the patient’s body became “too toxic” and her nephrologist recommends that she starts dialysis immediately. Patient voiced that she knew the herbal formulas were working to help restore her kidneys as her lab number had stopped dropping and stayed constant for the first time in years. That Wei Kidney Institute kidney herbal treatment gave her kidneys the opportunity to heal but they just simply needed more time. Patient plans to start dialysis 3x a week and continue on a half dose of WKI core kidney treatment for the next 6 months. She is thankful for the extended months Wei Kidney Institute gave her prior to going on dialysis.

Improvement in Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease Patient
John Filippini, DC, D.PSc, Danville, CA, October 2018
A patient under the supervision of Dr. John Filippini of Danville, CA sought a solution for her stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease. On March 22nd the pre-treatment blood work confirmed a GFR of 20, BUN 41 mg/dL and creatinine of 2.57 mg/dL. The recommended Wei Kidney Institute protocol focused on the following aspects: 1) improves the adrenal gland and kidney function, and helps with the kidney’s filtration and balancing of minerals; 2) helps clear inflammation and infection of the kidneys; 3) helps restore the integrity of connective tissue and reduces its inflammation; 4) improves blood cell production including red blood cells by the bone marrow, and 5) improves kidney structure and microcirculations. After being on the Wei Kidney Institute natural herbal protocol for 5 months, blood work showed a GFR of 40, BUN of 22 mg/dL and creatinine of 1.53 mg/dL. At the time of writing the patient is still continuing the protocol under the supervision of Dr. John Filippini.

Relief of a Left Ureter Constriction Causing High Protein Levels
Bing Alabanza MND, Glendale, CA, August 2018
A 51-year-old female presented with a left ureter constriction with 12% left kidney function and a history of kidney stones as a result. The patient had multiple stents in the past to help widen the ureter. Her most recent stent was placed in December 2017. In April 2018 she began experiencing hematuria as a result of the stent placement and wanted it removed. At the time her physician was recommending they surgically remove her left kidney. Patient has no other underlying health conditions. Prior to treatment, her most recent lab work was done in March 2018. Her GFR was 74, Total Protein was 8.8 (normal range is 6-8.3g/dL), Globulin was 4.7 (normal range is 2-3.5g/dL) and Albumin/Globulin ratio was 0.9 (normal range is 0.8-2.0). Previously, her kidney lab results were always normal, never indicating kidney failure.
Under Bing’s recommendation, the patient started on Wei Kidney Institute (WKI) Chronic Kidney Disease treatment protocol to help support her kidneys’ structure and function and reduce inflammation. Bing suggested adding WKI treatment that targets bladder inflammation with the ureter constriction as well. The patient’s main goal was to avoid having her left kidney removed.
Shortly after starting the protocol, the patient had her stents removed. Her hematuria resolved and she was pain-free. A few days later she developed a severe pain over her left kidney that she ranked 8-9 out of 10 with an ultrasound showing “2-3 hydronephrosis and multiple structures in the lower pole of the left kidney”. The patient was recommended to start on WKI treatment targeting possible mycoplasma and gram-negative infection in the kidneys and bladder. 5 days later the patient reported her pain had completely resolved. She hadn’t started on the infection products but was drinking cranberry juice and using CBD oil. She was able to hike 3 miles over the weekend and was pain-free. The patient had lab work done on May 21st and her GFR was 71, Total Protein was 8.2, Globulin was 4.1, and Albumin/Globulin ratio was 1.0. Her GFR showed a slight decrease which was expected given the fluid retention of her left kidney on the ultrasound. However, her Total Protein had decreased from the two months prior, along with a decrease in Globulin levels, and a normalizing Albumin/Globulin ratio.*
During the second month, Bing recommended adding WKI treatment targeting any renal fibrosis with hopes of dissolving any masses that might be blocking or causing a constriction of her left ureter. The patient had another lab work done towards the end of June and her kidney lab values remain steady.
The patient decided to stop the products after two months of treatment and remains stable.

Increased Kidney Function and Normalized Blood Pressure in CKD Patient
Charles Lewis, ND, Mountain Home, AR, May 2018
A 75-year-old male patient presented with frequent urination, joint aches, low energy, lower extremity edema, anemia, and high blood pressure of 159/81. The patient had a history of bladder infections stemming from the Vietnam War. He had been diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, congestive heart failure with 2 previous carotid surgeries on the right side, and stage 4 chronic kidney disease. Bloodwork on September 18th, 2017 showed GFR at 19, calcium at 9.8, BUN at 68 and creatinine at 3.02. The primary care physician was addressing his conditions through 3 blood pressure medications (metolazone, metoprolol, amlodipine), 4 urinary retention medications (furosemide, terazosin, tamsulosin, finasteride), and a statin (Lipitor) for his heart. The patient was likely soon going to be recommended dialysis and was looking for a solution to enhance his quality of life.
On Oct. 26th, 2017, the patient started Wei Kidney Institute Chronic Kidney Disease treatment protocol. The treatment protocol helps increase microcirculation, restore kidney filtration capability, reduce kidney inflammation, and repair the kidney structure which then leads to improved function. The treatment protocol also helps improve red blood cells production, and remove plagues and repair artery damage. Within one month, the patient had reported having higher energy levels. The patient did lose some weight, but Dr. Lewis suspected the initial weight loss could be due to improved kidney function and its ability to filter out waste better.
The patient continued on 3 more months of the same protocol. On February 28th, 2018, the patient reported having the best sleep he has had in a long time. He had been experiencing pain with the left hip due to the cold and damp weather and Dr. Lewis suggested to add additional Wei Kidney Institute herbal formula to help provide blood flow and increased nutrient supply to the area. On March 1st, 2018, Blood work showed increased GFR at 29, decreased calcium at 9.2, decreased BUN at 50.14 and decreased creatinine at 2.18. The patient’s blood pressure was also measured in the normal range at 108/63. He also reported gaining 4 lbs. Due to these improvements, Dr. Lewis suggested the patient be on 2/3 dose of the original protocol starting April and the patient is looking forward to checking in with his primary care physician in hopes of removing or lowering his blood pressure medications.

Symptom Improvement of Chronic Kidney Disease Patient on Dialysis
Robert Bartosh, DC, Danville, Illinois, March 2018
A 38-year-old female patient presented with Chronic Kidney Disease and was put on dialysis 3 times a week. For months she had trouble waking up in the morning to go to work because she always felt drained and had severe lack of energy due to her condition and the effects of dialysis. The patient sought out Dr. Bartosh in December of 2017 to help combat her symptoms and return to some normal function of activities.
Dr. Bartosh suggested Wei Kidney Institute natural herbal treatment which functions to open the smallest blood vessels to enhance whole body microcirculation leading to an enhanced distribution of oxygen to the tissues and thereby increasing energy. The patient took one capsule of the prescribed natural herbal product before bedtime and the very next morning she woke up at 4 AM feeling energized and ready to go to work. For the next week, she was able to wake up early and on one night, after a 4-hour day at the office, she was even able to work out on her treadmill for 30 minutes. This was something the patient felt she had no energy or motivation to do in the past 6 months. *
The patient is very satisfied with the results and is continuing to take the natural herbal product as necessary.

Reduction of Blood Pressure and Weight Loss of CKD Patient
Ela Corcoran, Homeopathic Practitioner, Tustin, California, March 2018
A 54-year-old female presented with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease. Her kidney function has been steadily declining for the last 12 years under her primary care physician. As of February of 2018, her GFR was 27, Serum Creatinine was 2.04 mg/dL and BUN was 28 mg/dL (normal range GFR >90, Serum Creatinine 0.6 – 1.1 mg/dL, BUN 7-20 mg/dL). The patient had anemia with hemoglobin values of 11.9 g/dL (normal range 12.0 – 15.5 g/dL) and had been on iron tablets and vitamin D. The patient was once on 5 different blood pressure medication, currently on 3 blood pressure medications, but still suffered from high blood pressure, 160/80 mmHg (normal 120/80 mmHg). She was overweight at 198lbs, 5’ 3” tall. Her main symptoms involved feeling fatigue and often felt she had no energy.
The patient sought out Ela in hopes of a better solution. Ela advised the patient to make lifestyle and dietary changes such as eliminating red meat, soda, and sweets in addition to some supplements to help improve her digestion. The patient was also put on Wei Kidney Institute natural herbal treatment which helps improve her kidney structure and function.
Within 2 weeks of the programs, the patient reported that she was feeling less fatigue and had a surge of energy. On March 1st, 2018, the patient reported that her blood pressure was around 112/68 mmHg and 109/62 mmHg (160/80 mmHg before the treatment). This was very surprising to her and her cardiologist because it had been such a long time since she had normal blood pressure and was suggested to keep on the program. Due to this, her cardiologist took her off of one blood pressure medication as she no longer needed it. The new dietary changes also helped the patient lose 19 lbs. during the first month. *
The patient is very happy with her results and is currently continuing her second month. She is due for another blood work to see what the progress has been.

Successful treatment of Gout and Stage III Chronic Kidney Disease
John Filipinni, DC, P.Dsc, Manteca, California, April 2017
66 y.o. male patient presented to Dr. Filippini with Severe Gout (on crutches from the pain in his feet and ankles) and was in stage III Chronic Kidney Failure. The gout had been flaring up about every 2 weeks since 2014. The pain was so severe that he had to get prednisone injection every time it flared up. But his MD was concerned about giving him too much prednisone due to his Chronic Kidney Failure condition. His kidney function was at 31%. Initial lab work demonstrated uric acid level at 12.80, BUN at 36.00, Creatinine at 2.14 and his GFR at 31. Dr. Filippini worked with the patient for several months using Apex and Premier Research Lab products, along with an intensive detox program. He also utilized Rife technology and PEMF on his swollen joints. These only resulted in temporary relief, with him having to return to his MD for prednisone shots, which calmed his pain down temporarily. The treatment was only able to reduce his uric acid down to 10.5.
On Dec. 14, 2016, Dr. Filippini began working with Wei Kidney Institute Protocols, applying external herbal solutions to the swollen joints, along with internal formulas to improves microcirculation and kidney function, so as to increase nutrient absorption and delivery, and help secrete the uric acid. After the treatment the gout inflammation went down, but switched to another joint. The external treatment was discontinued. After one month of continued treatment, not much change was noted. Dr. Filippini then added herbal treatment to clear inflammation and infection of the kidneys, along with liver support. These were added on 1/12/17. By 1/25/17, the patient reported that his symptoms had resided, but he was still skeptical, because his bouts of inflammation would generally calm down for a few days, and then returned. It turned out that the patient only had a mild flare-up about a week later, the pain was not severe so that he did not require a prednisone shot. The flare-up calmed down after a few days, and had stayed in remission to the date this article was written (Apr 3, 2017).
Follow up lab work was repeated on 3/30/17, and his GFR had increased from 31 to 39 (normal range 90-120); his Creatinine had decreased from 2.14 to 1.77 mg/dL (normal range 0.6-1.2 mg/dL in adult males), his BUN had decreased from 36 to 19 mg/dL (normal range 7-20 mg/dL), and his uric acid had decreased from the beginning 12.8 to 8.6 mg/dL (normal range 2.4-6.0 mg/dL).*
For the first time, the patient has hope, and is continuing on with his care in order to fully restore his kidney function and permanently reverse his Gout.

Chronic Kidney Condition with Congestive Heart Failure
Patient from Suffern, New York, August 2016
91 y.o. male patient who had been diagnosed with stage 2-3 kidney failure visited Wei Kidney Institute Doctor for help to manage his kidney condition. After finishing the 6 weeks initial treatment, his creatinine levels reduced from 2.1 to 1.8. Patient continued the treatment for another 4 weeks, his creatinine levels further reduced to 1.7. At this moment his BUN levels were at 49 and GFR is 40.4. The protocol seemed to be working very well.
In the next 3 months, the doctor reduced the dosage of the treatment. The blood work showed the BUN levels had been improved, however, the creatinine levels were back to 2.1 and the GFR dropped to 32. Despite the test result, patient reported that he felt very good. Patient also revealed that he had congestive heart failure. The doctor suggested that the patient’s good feeling in contrast with worsened blood test might reflect his heart offloading wastes. A heart treatment was then recommended together with the kidney treatment. 10 days later, patient reported that he felt really well with the combined treatment. His hemoglobin level had raised to 12.5 from 10.1. His BUN decreased to 42 and the creatinine dropped to 1.8. The patient reported his leg felt heavy and the doctor added treatment to address the issue. 3 months later, his blood work showed a big improvement with the creatinine at 1.5.*

Chronic Kidney Disease with Mitral Valve Prolapse
Patient from Baton Rouge, Louisiana (December, 2015)
52 year old female patient with chronic kidney disease came to Wei Kidney Institute Doctor. The patient was experiencing symptoms of night sweats, cold hands, hot flashes, fatigue, and anemia. Initial blood analysis revealed her GFR at 14, Creatinine at 3.38, and BUN at 50. For the initial 4 weeks, Wei Kidney Institute Doctor recommended a Stage 1-3 CKD treatment plus treatment to restore kidney connective tissue integrity.
After a month, the patient reassessed her blood work. Her GFR was at 15, Creatinine at 3.31, and BUN at 44. The patient remained on the same protocol for the following 2 months. Blood work showed further improvement after additional one month of treatment with GFR at 16, Creatinine at 3.12, and BUN at 39.
After discovering patient had a mitral valve prolapse, KHI doctor added an initial heart treatments to support heart function and improve bladder control along with the treatment she had been using. After using this new treatment which combined partial heart treatment with kidney treatment for a month, the patient reported that her heart felt more normal and she did have better bladder control. Then the following blood work shown BUN at 69, creatinine at 3.2 and GFR at 15.
Since the patient was responding well with the initial heart treatment based on the patient’s symptoms, it was thought that the increased level of BUN and Creatinine indicated release of wastes from a possible pericardial effusion. KHI doctor recommended a treatment regime for 3 more months consisting of a full heart treatment, blood treatment to help her anemic condition, and kidney treatment to help dissolve kidney scar cysts/fibrotic tissues and promote tissue regeneration, in addition to the previous kidney treatment. During the following 3 months, the patient continued experiencing improvement on her energy and overall well-being. She was able to handle a very stressful situation at work without any problems. However, blood work showed even worsened data with GFR at 14, BUN at 57, and Creatinine at 3.41 after 1 month; GFR at 13, BUN at 48, and Creatinine at 3.69 after 2 month; GFR at 14, BUN at 44, and Creatinine at 3.81 after 3 month.
After finishing 3 months of heart and kidney treatment, the blood work finally started showing improvement. At the 4th month since the heart treatment, the blood work showed her GFR at 15, BUN at 53 and creatinine at 3.28. After 6 months, the blood work showed her creatinine was further decreased to 3.14 with the GFR at 15 and BUN at 45. Patient was continuing the treatment for both her kidney and heart conditions. The patient reported that she was seeing constant progress with her condition rather than seeing degradation of her health.*

Kidney Failure
Patient from Milpitas, California. July, 2015
A 52 year old female patient diagnosed with kidney failure visited Wei Kidney Institute doctor, as her kidneys were only functioning at 10%. Her Creatinine was 6, BUN level was 39, GFR was 8, Urine Creatinine was 119, and parathyroid hormone (PTH) was 116 due to elevated calcium. The doctor recommended treatment to first remove inflammation in the kidney and bladder as well as increase microcirculation, then strengthen the function and structure of the kidney. The patient reported an increase in energy and was in high spirits after only using the kidney treatment. Her medical doctor also advised her to continue treatment due to her improvement. Our doctor then recommended a full herbal treatment to restore the integrity of the connective tissues of the kidney. After another month, the doctor added treatment to nurture the patient’s liver according to her condition, the patient continued to see improvement in her symptoms and overall well-being.
To further improve her kidney structure and function, our doctor advised the patient to add treatment to repair cellular damage and reverse tissue degeneration. After only a month, her GFR increased from 8 to 12! The patient is happy with her improvement and her medical doctor got extremely surprised about the testing results.*

Kidney Failure with Anemia and High Blood Sugar
Patient from Blairsville, George. June 2015
A 77 y.o. female patient suffering from Stage III kidney disease, came to Wei Kidney Institute. She was constantly fatigued and felt weak all over. Her kidney complications were starting to affect other areas of her life, and she noticed her health declining quickly. Before beginning treatment, her blood tests indicated that she was anemic as well. Her blood glucose was higher than average at 103 mg/dL, and her HbA1c was at 7.6%. Her serum creatinine was at 1.22 indicating kidney damage. With a GFR rate of 43 and BUN of 23 mg/dL, it was apparent that her kidney waste filtration was failing.
Our doctor recommended the treatment to first strengthen the kidney and increase microcirculation, reduce heat and inflammation in the kidneys, restore the integrity of kidney connective tissue networks within the kidney, and to support kidney function and filtration. After her first month of treatment, the patient reported that she felt so much better. She noticed she had more energy and less irritation, however, she still had urinary discomfort and suffered fatigue due to her anemic state. Wei Kidney Institute doctor further recommended treatment to address inflammation and heat in the bladder which had been contributing to her urinary problems, and to improve the quality of her blood. After two months of treatment, the patient happily reported that she had less frequency of urination at night, felt healthier overall, and that she was gaining strength. She was still experiencing muscle cramps but overall her symptoms had improved by 60%, and she no longer tested anemic.*
For her third month of treatment, she no longer needed to improve her blood quality, so our doctor removed the anemia treatment and added additional treatment to dissolve kidney scars by removing blood stasis. After her most recent blood test, her levels demonstrated a great improvement. Her blood glucose dropped to 80 mg/dL, her serum creatinine decreased from 1.22 to 1.0, and her BUN decreased from 23 to 22 mg/dL. Lastly, her GFR increased from 43 to 54. The patient was ecstatic with her improvement so far and was continuing treatment in order to see further results.*

Kidney Failure, High Blood Pressure and Anemia
Patient from Cleveland, Ohio
A male patient was diagnosed with diabetes and kidney failure with symptoms of high blood pressure, low energy, poor sleep, and bubbles in urine. His quality of life was severely diminished, and he was put on dialysis 3 times a week to support the kidneys and given anemia shots for low iron levels. The patient began an herbal treatment with Wei Kidney Institute doctor while continuing his current medications and routine dialysis. After 2 weeks of treatment, his hemoglobin levels improved dramatically, and doctors determined the patient no longer needed iron supplement injections. His blood pressure levels improved and were comparable to those of a 17 year old. His urine quality improved and there was a significant reduction of bubbles in the urine. This indicated less protein in the urine, which was a sign of improved kidney structure and function. The doctor was very impressed with these results. The patient also reported much better energy levels and sleep quality, and urination in the middle of the night was no longer an issue.* The patient is still undergoing treatment and is showing excellent progress.*

Kidney Failure with Digestive Tract Complications and High Blood Pressure
Patient from Odessa, Texas
A 50 year old female patient was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2008. Her MD at the time recommended kidney dialysis as the primary treatment option. Her creatinine levels were measured at 4.4, her BUN level at 75, and her blood pressure was high (without medication- 200/60 and with three different medications -160/60). Her symptoms included weakness, water retention, low energy, skin color change, and general poor health. She refused to undergo kidney dialysis and visited our Wei Kidney Institute doctor who was referred by her friend for treatment.
After initially getting good results with the treatment, patient’s improvement plateaued. After carefully evaluating her overall health condition, it was found that the patient had upper GI conditions including acid reflux and poor digestion, lower GI issues consisting of diarrhea, poor liver health due to history of hepatitis, low thyroid hormone, and body heaviness, as well as poor lung health from 13 years of smoking. The patient was then prescribed GI treatment, liver treatment, autoimmune treatment and lung treatment.
After completing the above treatment, the patient resumed the kidney treatment. After closely following this treatment protocol, the patient, now 55 years old, experienced amazing results. Her creatinine levels decreased to 2.4 and BUN levels decreased to 58, and they continue to decrease. Her blood pressure returned to a normal 100/75, and her water retention was almost gone. Her skin color returned to normal. Her overall health improved greatly, and she had much more energy. She had successfully avoided dialysis and is now considering dropping her blood pressure medications.*

High Blood Pressure and Gout as Complications of Kidney Failure
Patient from Kailua, Hawaii
A male patient who was 58 y.o. was diagnosed kidney failure 10-15 years ago. His kidney problem started at 6 years old when his urethra was blocked and the urine refluxed to the kidneys which drowned the kidneys and caused inflammation. He did not see a doctor then because he had no insurance. His blood pressure was out of control which was 176/107 without medication and 152/94 with Lostarden. He also frequently experiences gout attacks and was on Allopurinol. There were lots of bubbles in his urine due to a high amount of urine protein. Exercise made him gain weight due to increased retention of more liquid. He could not go back to sleep after urinating.
He went to see a Wei Kidney Institute doctor. After having 2 weeks of treatment, he stopped his blood pressure meds and his BP stayed very good at 130/80 and sometimes 123/78. He stopped his gout med Allopurinol, and had not seen a gout attack yet. He had also lost weight from 230-225 to 210-208.*
After 1 month of treatment, his RBC went from 4.8 to 5.2. He also felt not so drained and less fatigue. He used to often felt very tired the next day after he had done strenuous work, such symptom stopped to occur after 1 month treatment. The bubbles in his urine decreased greatly. The amount of his urination increased, compared with only a little urine each time before treatment. His blood pressure stays good without any medication. There were very few gout attacks without Allopurinol.*
After 3 months of treatment, overall he felt much better and was in very good shape. The patient was very happy with the result and went on with further treatment to address the mycoplasma infections and parasite which were the original causes of his kidney condition.

Kidney Calcifications and Kidney Stones
Patient from Bokchito, Oklahoma
A 62 year old female patient came to Wei Kidney Institute doctor with very severe kidney problems. The patient had previously suffered low energy, kidney stones, and multiple kidney lithotripsies. X-rays showed that the entire kidneys were both calcified. A previous doctor had used an IV to balance minerals which generated some improvement but eventually the patient saw a plateau. Wei Kidney Institute doctor recommended a very specific treatment protocol to reduce scarring on the kidneys.
The initial treatment for one week focused on clear inflammation and infection of the kidney. Afterwards, the doctor incorporated additional treatment to support kidney structure and filtration as well as dissolving scars. After a few weeks on this protocol the patient’s blood pressure had decreased significantly and the patient experienced improvement in her memory recall and encountered less brain fog. Her back and kidneys were less painful as well.* At this point, she still experienced burning during urination and had very concentrated urine. Also the patient experienced some more irritation at the beginning of second treatment. Also, she noticed that her vision was blurry for five minutes after opening her eyes in the morning.
In order to address this irritation, the doctor added treatment to remove inflammation from the blood along with kidney treatment. After a few weeks, the patient reported that she still experienced the burning sensation during urination and her blood pressure started increasing again. Her kidneys felt really sensitive. The doctor added treatment to remove heat and inflammation within the urinary tract as well as increasing the dosage of the rest of the treatment.
After 10 weeks of treatment follow-up X-rays showed no more calcifications in either kidney. The patient no longer experienced irritation or burning, and follow-up x-rays demonstrated no further calcifications! The patient was very satisfied with the results.*
